Profile
This lively chap is just 9 months old. He is possibly a labrador/springer cross and, although chocolate he does have a small white flash down his chest. He is full of energy and very boisterous.
He has been living in a flat with insufficient boundaries and little constructive training so any new owner should be prepared to take things back to basics and treat him like a younger puppy. He seemed to be quite biddable when he was assessed so, with time and consistency, we feel he should become a much calmer and pleasant companion. He lives with two very excitable young children at present, which doesn’t help his concentration on training and he isn’t being given the balance of exercise and mental stimulation that he needs.
We feel he would do best in an experienced home as the only dog so that the new owner could concentrate on getting him calm and socialised.
He has not been used to much exercise so a new owner would have to introduce him to regular walks and opportunities for interaction with the dogs and people he would meet. Dog training classes would be good for him.
He has lived with young children but we would suggest he goes to a home with older children who can understand that he needs to be kept calm and what his ongoing training needs involves.
He has not been castrated. We would expect a new owner to have this done when he is a little older and has settled in to his now home. We provide a grant towards the cost of this.
